You can do so either from Chrome settings or by right-clicking the address bar and selecting \u201cEdit search engines\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More likely than not, Google is your current default search engine. What you want to do is create a new <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Google search URL <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">string that will already include all your specifiers, and that you can either designate as the new default search engine (some of the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">search <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">strings won\u2019t respond properly if you do it this way, but it\u2019s a great time-saver with those that do); or invoke the shortcut you\u2019ve specified when adding this SE (the \u2018keyword\u2019 segment in the \u2018Add search engine\u2019 interface) by typing it in the search bar, and hitting \u2018Tab\u2019. This only leaves the final, and trickiest part, the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">search <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">string itself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, let\u2019s assume you want to use Google.com (you could use any of the alternative TLDs, but with the recent changes in how results are served, this might not make too much of a difference). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The most basic <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Google <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">search <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">URL <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">string looks like this: <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><code>http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=%s<\/code> <\/b>with the<b>\u00a0<code>\u201c%s\u201d<\/code><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> part serving as a placeholder for the query to come.
